Choose 180: A Community Approach to Public Safety
CHOOSE 180 is a non-profit organization that works to transform systems of injustice and support the young people who are impacted by these systems. Through intentional collaboration with system leaders, they have co-created successful programs that both strengthen community-based solutions and reduce the reliance on traditional public safety measures. During this session you will learn how CHOOSE 180 co-creates pathways to public safety through intentional collaboration with both system partners and impacted community members.

Stalking and Sexual Predator Mentalities
This workshop is designated for a Law Enforcement Audience. What is stalking, who stalks and why? This workshop will address “Some things stalkers do,” provide an overview of stalking statistics and reporting, explore the classifications of stalkers and behavior characteristics, and examine the question “Do Threats Predict Violence?”
This workshop will also cover Sexual Assault and the Mentality of Sexual Predators. This section will cover: “target” characteristics – what predators look for; myths of sexual violence; stranger vs non-stranger sexual assault; typology of sexual predators and behavior analysis for investigation

Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Training Program
This introduction to the RAD Systems of Self Defense will include an overview of the programs and some physical techniques. This workshop will cover the history and development of RAD, basic physical defense curriculum and a physical techniques training and simulations component.

Internet Safety and Unintended Consequences
The Internet is an amazing tool that we use each day for fun, school and work. This presentation will go over topics to talk about and help parents/youth navigate as they navigate the internet and all it has to offer. Talking about unintended consequences, mental health impacts as well as social “norms” and pressures is a key part of these presentations. Come learn about these topics as well as tools and resources to help you provide these presentations in your community.

Casting a Wide Net: Hate Incident Reporting
This workshop will go in depth regarding hate and bias crime data collection, the role of mental health and homelessness in hate incidents, misconceptions of hate crimes, and the role of public outreach.

Gang Awareness: Activity and Trends in Eastern Washington
This workshop will cover current gang trends, new trends in youth gang activity and outlaw motorcycle activity.

This workshop will touch on Mental Health, Cannabis (70% of our DUI’s are poly substance use…), Alcohol (number one abused drug in nation), Nicotine (number one youth violation at school), Opioids & Hallucinogens, Sex trafficking, Virtual trends and Accidental injury trends (distracted driving, DUI, helmet)
