April 2026
09 Apr 2026
Dear Members and Friends of WSCPA,
Believe it or not, we are already through the first quarter of 2026 and spring is right around the corner! I know you’re all plugging away on everything put before you but thank you for taking a few minutes to read through this month’s newsletter.
Oh, and before I forget, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
Don’t worry, you didn’t forget one of those important dates in your personal life, but did you know that April 1, 2026 marks our 50th anniversary as an organization?! Thank you for being a part of this organization with us and for everything you do to keep your communities safe and enjoyable for the people who live and visit there! Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming.
What We’ve Been Up To:
Earlier this month, your Board of Directors braved EVERY element thrown at them by Mother Nature to meet for our annual planning retreat. We welcomed Sergeant Aaron Cohen (Mount Vernon Police Department) to the Board, worked on building out this year’s training calendar and discussed membership and development goals.

BREAKING NEWS!
For years, Region 2 has represented both Snohomish and King Counties. At this year’s Board Retreat, we discussed the bandwidth required for a director to effectively assist this large geographical area and we ultimately decided to break them into two separate regions. Snohomish County is now Region 2, and King County is now Region 3.
Check Your Region: Every region number has bumped up by one. Please see our updated WSCPA Region map to confirm your new designation!
